Fleetwood Town have been granted permission to begin work on a new £6m training complex in Thornton.
Wyre Council planners approved the project on Wednesday.
The facility at Poolfoot Farm will incorporate a full-sized 3G pitch and other pitches which will be available for community use.
Fleetwood, who will play in League One next season, hope work will begin imminently and anticipate that it will take around a year to complete.
"This development will further put Fleetwood, Thornton and Wyre Borough on the map," chief executive Steve Curwood told the club website.
"The £6m cost is primarily from private investment and will create some 25 jobs."
