Morecambe defender Chris Doyle has signed a new one-year contract at the Globe Arena.
The 19-year-old, who is Reserve Team Player of the Year, started one game and made two substitute appearances for the Shrimps last season.
"He has all the hallmarks of being an excellent defender," Morecambe boss Jim Bentley told the club website.
"He reads the game really well and is confident in possession and is getting stronger all the time as well.''
Doyle follows midfielder Jamie Devitt, defender Ryan Edwards and full-back Shaun Beeley
"We know all about Chris and we are all confident that he has a good future in the game," added Bentley.
