Gary Irvine has agreed a new one-year deal with Dundee, who have also announced that winger Ryan Conroy has left the club by mutual consent.
Both players were part of Dundee's Scottish Championship-winning side that secured promotion to the Premiership.
Former St Johnstone full-back Irvine, 29 has been with the Dens Park club since 2010.
Conroy, 27 leaves the Taysiders after three years, during which time he scored 25 goals for the club.
He spent time on loan at Partick Thistle and Queen of the South before joining Dundee from first club Celtic.
The former Scotland Under-21 player featured regularly and scored seven times as Dundee won last season's second tier title.
"The club would like to thank Ryan for his efforts over the years and wish him all the best for the future," said Dundee on their website.
