Bristol Academy have signed goalkeeper Alice Evans from Yeovil Ladies.

The 19-year-old Wales youth international had been first choice for Sarah Lawler's side this season, but will now make the step up to the Women's Super League One.

Evans will compete for the number one jersey with Mary Earps, who signed for Bristol over the summer.

"I saw Alice play for Yeovil a couple of times and she was excellent," said Vixens manager Dave Edmondson.

"She has also showed a real desire to develop herself and is willing to work hard at her game.

"With Alice and Mary Earps we have two very good young goalkeepers at the club and they will provide each other the competition required to continue their development."

Earlier this week, forward Ellie Curson joined Yeovil for the remainder of the season following her release by Bristol.
