Rangers have taken former Kilmarnock and Hearts defender Ismael Bouzid on trial.
The 30-year-old Algerian, who has 13 caps for his country, made four appearances for Scottish Premiership side Killie last term.
During a two-year stint at Hearts from 2009-2011 he played 64 times.
Rangers manager Ally McCoist will assess Bouzid, who can play at right back or centre-half, over the next few days.
The Ibrox side have already added defender Darren McGregor and striker Kenny Miller to their ranks ahead their Scottish Championship campaign.
Midfielder Kyle Hutton also signed a new one-year deal after his contract expired at the start of the summer.
