Hereford United chairman David Keyte resigns

Hereford United chairman David Keyte has resigned from the club, reports BBC Hereford & Worcester.

Keyte remained in the position which he had held since 2010 after London businessman Tommy Agombar completed a takeover of the club in early June.

However, the Bulls were expelled by the Football Conference for failing to pay football creditors and have since been accepted into the Southern League.

Meanwhile, John Edwards and Elke Thuerlings have been named directors.

The news comes on a day when about 50 fans marched through the streets of Hereford to protest at proposals to transfer the leases on United's Edgar Street ground away from the football club.

Hereford are due back in the High Court on Monday to face a winding-up petition initially brought by former manager Martin Foyle.

BBC Hereford & Worcester understand that programme printers Queensway Publishing have attached their debt to the Foyle winding-up petition.
