Derby County defender Jake Buxton has signed a new three-year deal with the Championship club.
The 29-year-old was named by supporters as the Rams' player of the year last term, making 52 appearances as Derby finished runners-up to QPR in the promotion play-off final at Wembley.
He has played 132 matches for the club since arriving from Burton in 2009.
"His performances last season were excellent," Rams boss Steve McClaren told the club website.
"His leadership both on and off the field in the dressing room and around the place has been spot on."
The centre-half was just one season into his existing deal, which was due to expire in the summer of 2015.
Buxton is the third player to commit to the club in the past week with midfielder Jeff Hendrick and defender Craig Forsyth both signing new four-year deals.
