Accrington Stanley: Michael Liddle signs new contract
Full-back Michael Liddle has signed a new one-year contract with League Two club Accrington Stanley.
The 24-year-old has made 58 appearances since joining the Lancashire side on a permanent basis in July 2012, after an initial loan spell earlier that year.
Of those, 22 came during a disrupted 2013-14 campaign.
"Hopefully I can improve things on a personal front, get more games, have fewer injuries and help the club going forward," Liddle told the club website.
Manager James Beattie added: "He's a determined young man and a very good player.
"He found his opportunities limited last season for one reason or another but I want real competition this season and he's looking to fight for a place.
"He was eager to sign the deal and stay for another 12 months and I've said to him that it's his position to take."
