Airbus UK Broughton boss said his team were excellent in their 1-1 draw with FK Haugesund in the Europa League first qualifying round first leg.
Jordan Johnson put Airbus ahead after 29 minutes before Daniel Bamberg equalised on 43 minutes.
Airbus director of football Andy Preece praised his team ahead of the second leg in Norway on 10 July.
"It's an unbelievable performance, I don't think anyone gave us a prayer," he said.
"When we watched a couple of the games, when they played against Molde who are a Champions League team, they were equally as good as them - we were thinking 'what might happen to us' but we were fantastic from the first whistle."
FK Haugesund sit third from bottom in Tippeligaen, Norway's top division which is led by Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's former club Molde.
With their opponents in the middle of their league campaign and with a match against fourth-placed Rosenborg sandwiched between the two European matches, Preece believes his team can push FK Haugesund all the way.
"I think we'll at least be looking at a penalty shootout because I think we'll score," he said.
"We've shown enough today to give us that confidence that we will get opportunities."
