Defender Andre Bikey has joined Charlton on a two-year deal after impressing during a trial.
The 29-year-old centre-back was a free agent, having left Greek top-flight side Panetolikos at the end of a one-year contract.
Prior to moving to Greece, Cameroon international Bikey had spells with Reading, Burnley and Middlesbrough.
"He made a very good impression with us," Charlton head coach Bob Peeters told the Championship club's website.
"He's got experience of this league and we're very happy to sign him. His knowledge of the Championship will be very important."
Bikey has played 193 games in English football, scoring 12 goals.
