Nottingham Forest winger Djamel Abdoun has been told he can leave following a meeting with manager Stuart Pearce, reports BBC Radio Nottingham.

The Algeria international, 28, joined from Olympiakos last summer, and scored twice in 27 games last season.

Pearce said: "We had a meeting with him and his agent and he is actively looking for another club."

Meanwhile, Pearce has also revealed an agreement has been reached with striker Rafik Djebbour to cancel his contract.

The 30-year-old joined in January but only made eight appearances.
