Bristol Rovers 2-1 FC Halifax Town

Ellis Harrison
Harrison struck late to end Halifax's 100% record

Halifax lost their 100% record and their place at the top of the Conference after a dramatic 2-1 defeat at Bristol Rovers.

Adam Cunnington opened the scoring with his first goal for Rovers when he nodded in a cross from Jamie White.

Halifax equalised when Scott Boden turned away from three Rovers defenders and lashed the ball into the net.

Rovers struck a late winner to snatch all three points when Ellis Harrison bundled in Stuart Sinclair's cross.

Bristol Rovers rise to 15th as Halifax drop to second on goal difference behind Barnet.

Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke told BBC Radio Bristol:

"Don't get me wrong I was pleased with winning the football match but I'm disappointed with our second half performance.

"The pleasing thing for me is that the lads know that, I always try to make an honest assessment on the game and give Halifax a bit go credit, second half they had a right good go.

"We defend our box well at times but I expected more from our players, but we've dug in there, continued to try and with the match and we have won it.

"I'm delighted with the three points against an in-form team but I set higher standards than that, and the players have set higher standards over the last couple of games."
