Cowdenbeath's miserable week continued as they lost out to Raith Rovers following their midweek Scottish League Cup exit.
Raith's Mark Stewart bagged his first of the campaign, smashing home Ryan Conroy's pass into the top corner.
Lewis Vaughan headed home Stewart's pinpoint cross before a Conroy free-kick, his third goal of the season, made the game safe.
A late 25-yard strike from Lewis Milne was only a consolation for Cowden.
