Bournemouth defender Steve Cook says he is confident he can deal with former team-mate Lewis Grabban, when the pair face each other at Norwich on Saturday.

Grabban scored 22 goals for Bournemouth last term but moved to Norwich in June.

The 26-year-old has four for the Canaries this campaign, but Cook hopes he and defensive partner Tommy Elphick can handle the threat of the forward.

"Me and Tommy know Grabs well and we'll be looking to come away on top of that battle, " he told BBC Radio Solent.

"We know it is going to be a difficult one. He is an outstanding player but I hope we know his game well enough to nullify the threat and keep a clean sheet that we are desperate for."

Norwich are third in the early Championship table and Cook said that, although they are aware of the qualities of their former team-mate, they cannot focus too much on the ex-Rotherham man.

"If you focus too much on one player someone else will pop up with a goal," he said.

"He has got lots of pace and scores goals but he is one of many good players in their side."
