Tottenham have reached agreement with Montpellier for the transfer of midfielder Benjamin Stambouli.
The 24-year-old, a former France Under-21 international, is now set to travel to England to undergo a medical.
"MHSC and Tottenham Hotspur FC have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Benjamin Stambouli," Montpellier said in a statement.
"He will go to London in the next few hours to undergo a medical and finalise his contract."
Tottenham lead the Premier League two games into the season and play host to Liverpool this weekend.
Spurs have signed five players already this summer, the most recent arrival being that of defender Federico Fazio.
Ben Davies, Michel Vorm and Eric Dier have also arrived at White Hart Lane.
