Mario Balotelli: Liverpool striker not picked for Italy squad
Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has been left out of new Italy coach Antonio Conte's first squad.
The 24-year-old could have played in the friendly with the Netherlands on Thursday but is banned for the Euro 2016 qualifier in Norway next week.
The £16m summer signing picked up the suspension for receiving two yellow cards at the World Cup.
Former Juventus coach Conte replaces Cesare Prandelli, who quit after Italy were knocked out at the group stage.
Sunderland midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini is the only England-based player in the 27-man squad.
