Northampton Town have signed midfielder Ryan Watson from Premier League side Leicester City on loan until January.
The 20-year-old made his Foxes first-team debut in their 1-0 loss to League Two side Shrewsbury in the League Cup last month.
"Ryan is a player we have tracked since last Christmas," Cobblers manager Chris Wilder told the club website.
"We have tried to bring him in before and I am really pleased we have been able to get the loan completed now."
Watson started his career at Wigan before being sent out on loan to Accrington Stanley, where he made a sole appearance in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy against Morecambe.
Following a successful trial period at Leicester, Watson signed a professional contract last summer.
