Oxford United coach Les Taylor hopes their first home win will be the boost they needed to kickstart their Women's Super League Two campaign.
The U's defeated Millwall 1-0 for only their second victory of the season.
They are still bottom of the table, but are level on goal difference with London Bees, having played 13 games so far this season.
"This should give them a lot of confidence which they've sadly been lacking," 57-year-old Taylor told BBC Radio Oxford.
The result followed last week's draw with London Bees and Taylor has urged his side to build on the latest performance,
"They hung on and dug deep," he added. "For the girls, it was three games in eight days and it showed.
"They stuck at it and fair play they got the result they deserved.
"It's always good to put two performances together, now we want the third one, Confidence-wise that will be a massive boost."
