Darryl Westlake: Kilmarnock sign English full-back

Kilmarnock have signed English right-back Darryl Westlake under freedom of contract.

The 23-year-old was released by Sheffield United earlier this year after joining the Blades from his first club Walsall in 2012.

Westlake was loaned out to League Two Mansfield Town last season, making 25 appearances at Field Mill.

Defenders Mark Connolly and Chris Chantler joined Allan Johnston's Killie during the summer transfer window.

And Jamie Hamill, who returned to Rugby Park from Hearts, can play right-back as well as central midfield.
