Chris Brown: Blackburn Rovers striker sidelined after knee surgery
Blackburn Rovers are hoping that summer signing Chris Brown will return within six weeks after undergoing surgery on a knee injury suffered during pre-season.
Striker Brown, 29, has not played any competitive games since joining from Doncaster on a free transfer in June.
Manager Gary Bowyer told the club website: "The operation was a success so hopefully we are looking at four to six weeks. He's desperate to do well.
"It is disappointing for him not to have made his full debut for us yet."
Brown has scored 69 goals in 355 appearances so far in a career which began at Sunderland and has also included spells with Norwich and Preston.
