A last-minute strike from Stranraer's Adam Forde denied Airdrie the chance to seal their first victory of the season.
Jamie Longworth shot Stranraer into an early lead but Patrick Boyle drew the home side level with a free-kick and Bryan Prunty nodded the Diamonds ahead.
Willie Gibson's shot was deflected in off Craig Malcolm before Airdrie's Luca Gasparotto looked to have given Airdrie all three points when he rose late on.
But panicked defending allowed Forde to equalise on 90 minutes.
