Conor Washington's first goal since August was enough to earn Posh all three points

Peterborough bounced back from consecutive defeats with victory over Fleetwood Town at London Road.

Home goalkeeper Ben Alnwick saved from Fleetwood striker Stephen Dobbie early on, while Chris Maxwell kept out Marcus Maddison's 30-yard drive.

Washington scored the only goal against run of play, clipping the ball past Maxwell after pouncing on a long ball.

Fleetwood full-back Stephen Crainey was sent off late on for a second yellow card after fouling Maddison.
