Arron Davies scored in the fourth minute of injury time to earn Exeter a dramatic victory over Dagenham.
Veteran striker Jamie Cureton turned his marker and slotted home to give the Daggers an early lead.
The Grecians had to wait until the 80th minute to find an equaliser, Jimmy Keohane netting from the spot after Alex Nicholls had been brought down in the box by Matt Partridge.
And Davies headed into the top corner to earn the visitors all three points.
Dagenham manager Wayne Burnett told BBC London 94.9:
"We played very well in the first half and caused them a lot of problems, but they've come out in the second half a different team. All credit to Exeter - they came out in the second half and at times we couldn't get near them.
"I thought a draw was a fair result in the second half, but they managed to nick it in the end.
"We sat deeper and deeper and deeper in the second half, and when you do that you're asking for a little bit of trouble, especially when you're 1-0 up. The other team have got a lifeline and are still in the game - and they were.
"I'm bitterly disappointed but we can learn from this. We played well at times so far this season and haven't got any points, which happened tonight."
