Nottingham Forest 2-2 Ipswich Town

Michail Antonio
Forest have now drawn four successive Championship games

Michail Antonio's injury-time equaliser against Ipswich maintained Nottingham Forest's unbeaten Championship run as they moved second in the table.

Forest were twice behind in the match with Daryl Murphy's superb solo goal giving the visitors a half-time lead.

The hosts levelled via Robert Tesche's header, but Murphy nodded in Tyrone Mings's cross seven minutes later.

Forest looked doomed to their first league defeat of the season before Antonio's header in the 94th minute.

Having been a point clear at the top in mid-September, Stuart Pearce's side had registered goalless draws in their three previous league games to slip off the Championship pace.

A fourth 0-0 scoreline never looked likely with Britt Assombalonga and Christophe Berra going close at opposite ends before Murphy opened the scoring in fine style.

The former Sunderland man cut in from the right and weaved past a pair of defenders before curling a finish past Karl Darlow in the Forest goal.

A last-ditch recovery challenge from Michael Mancienne snuffed out a clear chance for Jonny Williams to double the lead after Henri Lansbury's careless backpass had been intercepted by the loanee midfielder.

Forest got the upper hand after the break and Antonio forced a good save out of Dean Gerken before Tesche rose highest to meet a corner from Lansbury.

It seemed as if that goal would be the platform for Forest to go on and win the game, but after Antonio and Chris Burke went close for the hosts, Mick McCarthy's side restored their lead as Murphy showed aerial ability to go with the skills he showed for his first goal.

After Antonio and Assombalonga had both gone close, it seemed Forest had reached the end of their unbeaten, but Antonio salvaged a point with his sixth goal of the season.
