Rangers to contest Boyd 'butt' ban, with Mohsni penalty accepted
Rangers have accepted a two-game ban for defender Bilel Mohsni but will contest a violent conduct charge against striker Kris Boyd.
Both players were cited for their behaviour during Monday's 3-1 home loss to Hibernian.
Mohsni, 27, will miss three matches, with his suspension extended because of a pre-season sending off at Derby.
Boyd is accused of "head-butting or attempting to head-butt" an opponent and will attend a 9 October hearing.
The 31-year-old was also offered a two-match ban by the Scottish FA's compliance officer.
His case relates to an altercation with Jordan Forster, while Mohsni clashed with another Hibs defender, Liam Fontaine, leading to a charge of "striking or attempting to strike an opponent with your arm or hand".
