2015 Nations Cup: Bamba left out of Ivory Coast squad

Souleymane Bamba

Centre-back Souleymane Bamba has been omitted from the Ivory Coast squad to face DR Congo in this month's 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Bamba appears to have paid for a below par performance in the 4-1 defeat in Cameroon in September.

Coach Herve Renard has recalled left-back Siaka Tiene, who has not been involved since the 2013 Nations Cup.

But fellow defenders Artur Boka (visa issues) and Constant Djakpa (injury) miss out for the Elephants.

Ivory Coast are third in Group D with three points after two matches, having won their opener 2-1 against Sierra Leone.
