Torquay United boss Chris Hargreaves has called on his players to take responsibility for improving their poor disciplinary record.
They have had four players sent off and 24 yellow cards issued in 14 games, the worst record in the Conference.
"We have had a discussion about discipline," Hargreaves told BBC Sport.
"Just to say stay on your feet a little longer, don't go to ground so easily, don't give the referees the opportunity to book you or send you off."
Ryan Bowman, Toby Ajala, Aaron Downes and Courtney Richards have all been dismissed this season for the Gulls, and Angus MacDonald and Duane Ofori-Acheampong have also been suspended after five bookings each.
"I hope we've resolved it," said Hargreaves, who was himself last month.
"I don't want to take out that fight and spirit, so I'm not going to be telling players off for getting bookings that I think are a fair tackle.
"But we have to be more sensible when we have been booked (to avoid a second one)."
