Leyton Orient 0-0 Milton Keynes Dons

Leyton Orient moved out of the bottom four after earning a hard-fought point against MK Dons.

Orient, last season's beaten play-off finalists, played the last five minutes with 10 men after Mathieu Baudry was shown two yellow cards in two minutes.

Shane Lowry, Shaun Batt and Darius Henderson threatened for Kevin Nugent's side, who still await their first home win this term.

MK Dons, who drop to fifth, went closest with Benik Afobe's fierce shot.

Leyton Orient interim manager Kevin Nugent told BBC London 94.9:

"It was a difficult game as we were up against the top scorers in the league. We are in a real battle.

"We've got seven first team players out injured or unavailable at the moment - it's tough. But the spirit between the players is what you need if you're going to get yourself out of trouble.

"We need to get our home form back together. We need to forget what happened last season and start thinking about what's happening this season and get ourselves climbing up the table.

"Interim manager is the job title now. I signed the contract after the Sheffield United game but I didn't speak about it because I didn't want to take away from the game."

MK Dons manager Karl Robinson told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"I thought we looked very, very strong defensively, to keep two clean sheets on the road, away at Yeovil and away at Leyton Orient, on the spin is a difficult task.

"I'm very pleased to get a point, but we didn't play great in possession.

"I thought when (Will) Grigg came on he looked very very sharp. We felt if we could get an extra man at the top end of the pitch, we'd cause more problems for the central defenders.

"This is a difficult place to play, Leyton Orient are always difficult, they're always on your back, they always make the referee make one or two decisions that maybe he shouldn't make, and I thought there was one or two refereeing decisions today that were very, very poor."
