Match ends, Bristol Rovers 0, Forest Green Rovers 1.
Forest Green extended their unbeaten run to five games after Daniel Coles' goal was enough to beat his old club Bristol Rovers.
The visitors were dominant in the first half, with Kurtis Guthrie twice shooting wide.
They went ahead when Coles headed Rob Sinclar's cross into the bottom corner.
Dave Martin went close to an equaliser with a header but the hosts ended with 10 men after Daniel Leadbitter was sent off for bringing down Guthrie.
Bristol Rovers manager Darrell Clarke speaks to BBC Radio Bristol:
"Very frustrating to keep coming in and saying the chances we've missed we've got to do better in front of goal and that's there for everyone to see.
"Because to get something out of the game with ten men can't knock the lads for their effort and desire. I thought we were the better team with ten men for the majority of the second half.
"We lost to many individual battles for me first half, then got a great response second half to be fair to the boys. Obviously down to the red card, we'll have to look at that one again.
"But we have to take our medicine and move on from it you're going to take a few hits along the way we took a hit today I don't think we deserved to lose the match if I'm being honest but we've lost the football match because we didn't finish our chances."
Forest Green manager Ady Pennock told BBC Radio Gloucestershire:
"The way we played first half we could have been 3-0 or 4-0 up.
"In the second half we had to dig in, and it's always hard when teams go down to 10 men.
"Bristol Rovers is a very good football club, and a top team, and to come here and beat them for their first home defeat was brilliant.
"I love 1-0's, it's my favourite scoreline, but I wished we'd scored one or two at the end because my ticker's not too great."
