Match ends, Sheffield United 2, Yeovil Town 0.
Goals from Marc McNulty and Jamie Murphy moved Sheffield United into the League One play-off places with victory over Yeovil Town.
McNulty bundled home from close range to put the hosts ahead in the first half, after Artur Krysiak failed to hold Louis Reed's shot.
Teenager Reed sent Murphy scampering through to wrap up the points.
Yeovil, who beat the Blades in the League One play-off semi-finals in 2013, went close through James Hayter.
Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough told BBC Radio Sheffield:
"It was a good, solid, professional performance again. (Goalkeeper) Mark Howard has been rarely troubled which, considering the two first-choice centre-halves are out, is extremely pleasing.
"We weren't sparkling at times, probably didn't play as well as we did against Leyton Orient, but we did look more professional tonight, restricted them to very few opportunities and kept our concentration right to the end.
"Jose (Baxter) was carrying a knock and had he been fit, he probably would have started. I don't think Marc (McNulty) played particularly well, particularly in the first 10 or 15 minutes.
"Then he gets his poacher's goal, which is what he's in the team for, but he needs to improve on his all-round game."
Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson told BBC Somerset:
"You're going to get games where you get beaten 2-0 by a team with the quality that they've got.
"But we had two or three that didn't turn up and that's what disappoints us.
"They showed a bit of power and pace. We've got to keep the ball better and we couldn't.
"We just couldn't get a foot-hold in the game. Some of them have got to look at themselves and see if they can have an effect at this level."
