Portsmouth 3-2 Stevenage

Portsmouth defender Joe Devera atoned for a defensive mistake to score the winner against Stevenage.

Darius Charles volleyed Stevenage into the lead but Jed Wallace levelled when the visitors failed to clear a corner.

Miles Storey collected a through ball to put the hosts in front but Devera's weak back-header allowed Chris Beardsley to equalise past Paul Jones.

The 27-year-old made up for his error minutes later with a low strike to end Pompey's five-game winless league run.

Stevenage manager Graham Westley told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"It wasn't far off our best performance of the season. I thought we did a lot right.

"It's a very difficult environment to come to. The officials find it difficult to stay on top of the game.

"If you look at the errors, the moments that have cost us, they're all curable. We looked the fitter side, I think the boys can feel unfortunate."
