Wycombe Wanderers 1-1 Dagenham & Redbridge

Peter Murphy netted his second goal in five days as Wycombe denied Dagenham & Redbridge a win.

Murphy should have opened the scoring in the first half, but saw his header cannon back off the crossbar.

Jamie Cureton tapped in his sixth goal of the season to give Dagenham the lead after Ade Yusuff's shot was blocked.

Murphy headed in Sam Wood's cross to equalise before Daggers boss Wayne Burnett was sent to the stands by referee Scott Mathieson for dissent.

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth told BBC Three Counties Radio:

Ainsworth on Wycombe v Dagenham

"We didn't deserve to be 1-0 down. We absolutely dominated the first half with plenty of chances and it's a lesson to put it away when you're dominating like that.

"Fair play to Dagenham, but if any team was going to score towards the end I thought it was Wycombe and it was a great equaliser by Peter Murphy.

"It's a point towards our total for the survival campaign and it keeps us around the top of the league.

"After Tuesday it was important not to have two losses in a row and we stopped that today."

Dagenham and Redbridge boss Wayne Burnett told BBC London 94.9:

Burnett on Wycombe v Dagenham

"We didn't start particularly well in the first-half, but we grew into the game and came out better in the second half.

"Wycombe have been doing fantastically, so we would have probably come here and accepted that point but I am disappointed that we didn't get all three.

"It was a very gritty performance, we played with resilience today, but we didn't play with the fluidity or fluency that we have been.

"We've been hopeless at home, and we have not played consistently - sometimes that is a lack of concentration, and sometimes it's about players not being able to manage game."
