A dramatic late fight-back by East Stirlingshire could not prevent them from losing to Annan Athletic.
Peter Weatherson opened for the Galabankies in the second minute with David Hopkirk doubling the lead with a fine long-range shot.
Neil McCabe reduced the deficit but Weatherson restored the gap which Matt Flynn extended with 13 minutes to go.
However, David McKenna and Paul Brennan made it a nervy finish as Shire fell just short of grabbing a point.
