Stephen Elliott: Carlisle striker set for surgery on ruptured Achilles

Carlisle striker Stephen Elliott will have an operation after scans revealed he ruptured his Achilles tendon in the on Saturday.
He was stretchered off an hour into what was his fourth Carlisle start.
The 30-year-old joined the League Two side in August having not played a competitive game since February 2013, and been without a club for 13 months.
In an 11-year career, Elliot has won nine Republic of Ireland caps and scored 54 goals in 293 club matches.
