Fears of serious injury have subsided for St Johnstone's Murray Davidson after the midfielder was stretchered off against Rangers.
The 26-year-old was injured in a collision with Rangers' Nicky Law during Saints' 1-0 Scottish League Cup defeat at Ibrox on Tuesday.
Davidson was taken to hospital suffering a black eye, but it did not require stitches.
However, concussion means he will miss Friday's league visit by Motherwell.
Davidson, capped once by Scotland, has made seven appearances this season following a six-month lay-off with a torn patella tendon.
