Midfielder Adam Reach has signed a new four-and-a half-year contract with Championship side Middlesbrough.

The 21-year-old has established himself in the Boro first team this season with two goals in 18 appearances.

Prior to this term, the Chester-le-Street-born player spent time on loan at Bradford, Shrewsbury and Darlington.

"It's very good for Adam and it's very good for the team. He's a very good lad," head coach Aitor Karanka told the club website.external-link
