York City 1-1 AFC Wimbledon

Andy Frampton's equaliser at League Two rivals York City earned AFC Wimbledon an FA Cup first-round replay.

The Minstermen went ahead after just eight minutes when Jake Hyde converted Michael Coulson's low cross.

The visitors drew level when Frampton netted the rebound after Michael Ingham had saved his first attempt.

Adebayo Akinfenwa wasted a great chance for the Dons before their keeper, James Shea, pulled off a triple save to deny both Wes Fletcher and Coulson.

The replay will be at Kingsmeadow on Tuesday week (18 November, 19:45 GMT).

York City manager Russ Wilcox told BBC Radio York:

"I thought it was a great game. Wimbledon were probably the best side first half.

"We took the lead, but I think there was a little bit of fear of playing at home and we sat back after that instead of staying on the front foot and going after that second goal.

"The second half was one way traffic. You just need that little bit of luck in front of goal, but you've got to be that bit more clinical."

Wimbledon boss Neal Ardley told BBC London 94.9:

"I thought it was end to end. Both teams battled hard, both teams showed moments of real quality and I think a point was a fair result in the end.

"We have done a lot of talking this week about things we need to do better and the boys gave me everything I asked for today.

"All in all we have put a little bit of pride back in the shirt but one game is not enough, we need to make sure we do more."
