Danny Hollands' late header rescued a replay for Portsmouth in their FA Cup first round tie against Aldershot.
Jed Wallace opened the scoring from the penalty spot before Conference Premier side Aldershot levelled when Jordan Roberts converted Dan Holman's cross.
Mark Molesley put the visitors ahead side-footing in at the near post from Kieran Forbes' low cross before Hollands headed Pompey level.
Portsmouth's Paul Robinson was also later sent off for two yellow cards.
Pompey, the 2008 winners, started well with Craig Westcarr firing straight at keeper Phil Smith from 12 yards.
It was not long before they were ahead with Mark Phillips bringing down Westcarr with Wallace making no mistake from the spot.
Aldershot equalised on the stroke of half time with Roberts volleying in Dan Holman's cross at the back post. Molesley then gave Aldershot the lead side-footing home Kieran Forbes' low cross to stun Fratton Park.
Hollands levelled with an 81st-minute header from close range to spare the League Two side from an early exit before Robinson saw red.
Aldershot Town boss Andy Scott told BBC Surrey:
"It's fantastic because in the second-half we were the only team in it, we created a lot of chances.
"Even at the end we were still pushing for the winner. It was a fantastic performance, great atmosphere and it gives our fans something to come home to.
"They always are (Aldershot fans) home or away, wherever we are playing they are fantastic and they deserved the reward to come to places like this and also getting them back to our place.
(On the return game): "If we play to our best like today then we can give them a good game, and that exactly what it will be.
"Again we will have a full-house I reckon and it's a big opportunity for us to go through."
