Crystal Palace manger Neil Warnock has been fined £9,000 by the Football Association for comments he made after a Premier League defeat by Chelsea.

Warnock, 65, was charged after saying referee Craig Pawson was "influenced" by Blues players during the Eagles' 2-1 home defeat on 18 October.

The charge was upheld at a personal hearing on Tuesday.

Warnock, who succeeded Tony Pulis as Palace boss in August, was also warned about his future conduct.

An FA statement said: "Following an independent regulatory commission hearing, Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has been find £9,000 for misconduct in relation to post-match media comments.

"The FA alleged [Warnock's comments] implied the match referee was motivated by bias and/or brought the game into disrepute."
