Swindon Town have been successful in their appeal to overturn the red card shown to captain Nathan Thompson in their 5-0 defeat by Cheltenham in the FA Cup first round on Saturday.
Defender Thompson was sent off after 21 minutes for tripping Terry Gornell.
It was the 23-year-old's third red card of the season, but he will now avoid a three-match suspension.
"He's a big part of what we try and do and he epitomises everything we do," manager Mark Cooper told BBC Wiltshire.
"Of course it's relief and we keep our captain in the team for Saturday.
"He understands he has to be better with his discipline. He understands that and he is working hard with that.
"But as this decision shows he wasn't to blame on Saturday and it has been rightly overturned."
He also saw red in the penultimate game of last term against Notts County.
