AFC Telford United captain Sean Clancy could be out until the New Year after breaking his collarbone in a 2-1 win for the Conference's bottom club over Altrincham on Wednesday.

The Bucks' third league victory of the season closed the gap to six points from safety in their fight to avoid instant relegation from the Conference.

But victory came at a big cost, with the loss of Liam Watson's captain.

It came in injury time when he fell awkwardly after going up for a header.

Midfielder Mike Grogan went off at half-time after a knock on his ankle, which leaves Watson looking to strengthen his squad ahead of this Saturday's trip to Barnet for the Conference's meeting of top versus bottom.
