The Football League has announced that it plans to introduce vanishing spray in the Championship and Leagues One and Two from January 1.

The spray is already used in the Premier League and has been trialled in this year's Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

The Football League has also announced that each of the three divisions will play its final round of fixtures at different times this term.

Meanwhile, next season will begin on the weekend of 8-9 August 2015.

The staggered conclusion to the current Football League season means the last round of Championship matches will begin at 12:15 BST on Saturday 2 May 2015.

The League Two season will conclude later that day with a 15:00 BST round of fixtures, while League One's final games will be played on Sunday 3 May at 12:15 BST.

Vanishing spray will also be used in the Capital One Cup as well as the Football League and Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
