Falkirk technical director Alex Smith is in hospital after suffering a heart scare.
The 74-year-old was taken ill on Thursday and will be fitted with a pacemaker.
He won the Scottish Cup as manager of St Mirren in 1987 and again in 1990 with Aberdeen.
Smith, who also managed Stenhousemuir, Stirling, Clyde, Dundee United, Ross County, Falkirk and Scotland Under-21s, is said to be "in good spirits".
