Cillian Morrison is back at Derry after the Brandywell club signed the striker from Cork City in a one-year deal.
The Lettrekenny man played for the Derry U21s side before moving on to UCD, while he joined Cork in June 2014.
Morrison was in GAA action last weekend, playing for St Eunan's at Celtic Park in their Ulster Club SFC semi-final defeat by Omagh.
City boss Peter Hutton has also signed keeper Shaun Patton from Finn Harps as back-up to number one Gerard Doherty.
Meanwhile, Michael Duffy will spend some time on trial with SPL champions Celtic next week.
The Northern Ireland U21 international recently signed a two year contract extension with Derry.
