Hajduk Split refused to play major Croatian rivals Dinamo Zagreb on Saturday after some of their fans were banned from the Maksimir Stadium.
About 50 supporters were blacklisted as suspected troublemakers, leading the rest of their fans to boycott the game - and the players to follow suit.
Dinamo's players came out of the tunnel to meet regulations, with the officials calling the game off 15 minutes later.
Hajduk say they will release a statement on the incident on Sunday.
