Match ends, Stirling Albion 2, Peterhead 3.
Peterhead made it four games unbeaten with an away win at Stirling Albion, who are without a Scottish League One victory since August.
Bryan Gilfillan headed in at the far post before Phil Johnston's own goal doubled the Blue Toon's lead.
Steven Doris pulled one back for Stirling but Peterhead's two-goal cushion was restored by Cammy Kerr's deflected strike.
Sandy Cunningham's diving header gave Albion another consolation goal.
However, there was no equaliser in front of the 1984 Binos side that thumped Selkirk 20-0, who were watching in the stand.
The meeting with Peterhead marked the 30th anniversary weekend of that incredible Scottish Cup result for Albion - the highest victory in British senior football during the 20th Century.
Winger Davie Thompson netted seven that day at Annfield Stadium, but he and many others involved in the momentous result had to make do with just five goals shared at Forthbank.
Steven Noble's free-kick had hit the crossbar for Peterhead minutes before Gilfillan nodded in his second of the season from Jamie Stevenson's corner.
One Doris effort parried by Blue Toon goalkeeper Graeme Smith was all Albion had to offer in the first half and it got worse at the start of the second when Callum Reidford's save rebounded into the net off Johnston.
Doris converted his third goal of the campaign after a scramble in the box to give the hosts hope but that was immediately dashed as Kerr's drive deflected off the back-side of Chris Smith for Peterhead's third.
Credit to Stirling, though, who once again rallied, scoring the goal of the game when a flowing move resulted in Cunningham diving to head in Lewis Small's delivery.
