Paris St-Germain coach Laurent Blanc has described Stephanie Roche's volley, which is shortlisted for Fifa's goal of the year, as "magnificent".
Roche's strike for Irish women's club Peamount United is up against goals by James Rodriguez for Colombia and Robin van Persie for the Netherlands.
"It's magnificent," Blanc said. "If it had been in a Champions League final it would have caused a sensation."
The 25-year-old is hoping to become the first woman to win the Puskas Award.
