Dagenham & Redbridge 0-1 Tranmere Rovers

Max Power's stunning strike earned Tranmere a hard-fought victory over Dagenham at Victoria Road.

The home side's Jamie Cureton had the best chance of the first half, but scuffed his shot wide following excellent work by Damian Batt.

Tranmere took the lead midway through the second period when Power rifled a powerful shot into the top corner.

The Daggers pushed for an equaliser late-on, but the visitors held firm for a well-deserved three points.

Dagenham and Redbridge assistant coach Warren Hackett told BBC London 94.9:

"We got what we deserved today, I think they were a little bit better than us, if were going to get lucky then we could have got a draw.

"It was disappointing as we were the home team, we didn't take the game to them as we should have done, we lacked goal scoring opportunities.

"The last two games we've scored six goals and created many opportunities and today to draw a blank was a bitter pill to swallow."
