Match ends, Chester FC 0, Barnsley 3.
Dale Jennings struck twice as non-league Chester's hopes of another FA Cup upset were clinically ended by League One side Barnsley.
After an initial 0-0 draw, Kane Hemmings calmly stroked home from 12 yards to give the Tykes a first-half lead in the replay.
Jennings then slotted in a neat right-foot curler from 15 yards.
And he sealed it late on after a superb dribble to book a home third-round tie against Middlesbrough.
Jennings could even have completed his hat-trick, but was denied by a fingertip save from City keeper Jon Worsnop.

Chester have a better head-to-head record against Barnsley down the years - but the last time they hosted the Tykes in the FA Cup in 1981, it was an away win that day too. |
Conference play-off outsiders Chester wasted their chance when they had the better of the 0-0 draw at Oakwell 10 days before.
This time, in the rematch, the two-tier gulf between the sides showed as Barnsley's three changes from Saturday's 3-1 defeat at Walsall had the right effect.
Although, territorially speaking, City matched the Tykes before the break, it was the visitors who created the majority of the chances.
Even after Hemmings' 16th-minute opener, James Bailey had a shot brilliantly turned aside by Worsnop full length.
And more chances went begging before Hemmings set up Jennings to steer home the second just inside the right post.
Jennings' solo effort for the third - a goal that bore a resemblance to Ricky Villa's famous Cup final replay winner in 1981 - was the icing on the cake for Danny Wilson's men.
