Carlisle United 2-1 Northampton Town

Brad Potts scored his seventh goal of the season to secure a home win for Carlisle against Northampton.

The hosts took the lead through Troy Archibald-Henville's header from a corner, his first goal for the club.

The Cobblers equalised in the fourth minute of first-half injury time as Marc Richards converted from the spot after David Amoo tripped Evan Horwood.

But Potts put Carlisle ahead again on 62 minutes when he flicked the ball into the net after a cross from Amoo.

Northampton Town manager Chris Wilder tells BBC Radio Northampton:

"We've definitely got to look over our shoulder (at the relegation zone). We don't want to get sucked in.

"We feel we've got the players that can win games, as we showed at the start of the season. But we are falling short.

"We need a settled back four, one that's good enough to come here and keep clean sheets. We need Ryan Cresswell, Zander Diamond and Evan Horwood playing. I don't have a problem with us going the other way.

"Matt Duke is the goalkeeper from now on. We won't be extending Jordan Archer's loan."
